a genz who has real(ish) feelings

Just another woke (but relatable “GENZ”) 🎀

So here I am — 16 years old, moving through the strangely exhausting reality of being Gen Z. Not in a dramatic or revolutionary way, and definitely not as a spokesperson for anything. Just in the very normal sense of juggling school, emotions, expectations, and a phone that somehow always dies at the worst time.
There’s this assumption that being this age automatically means having strong opinions, endless energy, and everything figured out. Most days, though, I’m just learning as I go and carrying a lot more than I let on.
What I’ve realized is how rare it is to have spaces where you can simply talk — without filtering,
without performing. Where jokes, sarcasm, and memes quietly hold things, we don’t know how to say directly. Where talking becomes its own kind of relief.
So, with that in mind, welcome to SafeSpace: Real(ish) Feelings — a shared space for thoughts we usually keep to ourselves. It’s not a diary. Definitely not. Let’s just say it’s a place where feelings exist without needing a disclaimer.
We don’t need to talk about our feelings.
(Except… maybe we do.)
Before we dive in, here are some ground rules for this chaotic little corner of the internet:

  1. Every feeling — even the stupidest thought — is allowed here.
  2. We listen. We don’t judge.
  3. Swear words are allowed as long as they’re not used to target, demean, or abuse anyone.
They’re just for expressing our angst about life being… life.
  4. Comments, notes, and conversation starters are encouraged.
  5. Promise to everyone: What’s written in the blog stays in the blog.
  6. Just enjoy the yapping. I’ll yap, you’ll yap, and we’ll all pretend we’re not emotionally
    attached to this space.
On a serious note — I know what it feels like to live like a “mute person,” even when you technically talk. When you don’t have anyone to tell your deepest secrets, insecurities, or fears to… it gets heavy. So, I’m here to talk about the things we all feel but don’t always say out loud. And I’m here
    to listen to you too.
Let’s build a little community out of this.
Welcome aboard this journey — and definitely not our shared yapping journal.
